Ron Santo was playing third base for the Cubbies throughout the sixties and his rookie card (1961 Topps # 35) was one of my first rookie cards I bought during my “re-investment” days. WebRon Santo played 15 seasons for the Cubs and White Sox. He had a .277 batting average, 2,254 hits, 342 homers, 1,331 RBIs and 1,138 runs scored. He won 5 Gold Glove awards. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012.
