WebFrom my experience, running an AT vs mud tire didn't change mpg, but the ATs I had wore faster than my mud tires. Obviously, tire size will change it slightly though. When I had my TJ, I ran 33s, and a then got a set of 31s I put on for awhile to see if helped my mileage. It wasn't significant enough to make me want to run them for long.
