WebMay 2, 2024 · The 7040 uses the standard M-key slot for the PCIe NVMe SSD, and I'm not sure they can read B+M-key'd sticks (which is what I have). I'm sure someone in Dell tech support knows the answer, but I don't have enough patience to find out for something minor like this. I'll know soon enough the problem.
