Botrytis gray mold
WebGray mold ( Botrytis spp.) occurs in structures with prolonged high humidity. This disease typically affects injured tissue and debris first, then spreads into the actively growing crop, including leaves, stems, and fruit. Lesions are tan-tobrown; abundant masses of gray spores form on the surface of diseased tissues. WebBotrytis cinerea, or grey mold, is a harmful fungal infection that mostly affects damaged plants. If left untreated, the entire plant could die and the spores can spread to other plants nearby. With the exception of winegrower’s lung, grey mold is not harmful to humans.
